Hello friends, a few friends of mine and I were talking about doing this for some time now.
Below is a guide for the rules about betting, issues with holding, risk wins, scams, and the most common games that are played in casinos around the Habboon community. [Poker, 13, 21, 6, Tri-High, Tri-Low]

    Common Practices:
    • When you find someone you would like to bet, politely ask them if they would like to bet, include what your wager is, what the game will be, and either ask them to state what they are willing to wager, or simply suggest what you want them to wager and see if they accept. Example: "Hey [username] 20 thrones v 20 thrones, poker?"
    • Before the bet it is a very common practice to say "Goodluck" or "gl" - some people consider it the agreement (It's recommended to say either yes or no when agreeing to a bet to avoid confusion) Note: It is not required for any user to say goodluck - just common courtesy.
    • It is highly recommended that before you bet you download some kind of screen recording mechanism. When placing a bet there is always a chance of a scam, without a video recording of the scam taking place (record the whole bet) there is no chance to have the user caught by staff and banned.

    Rules of Betting:
    • Betting 1 way - 1 ways are common in casinos that charge for their dealer rights. A user will ask another user to bet (Mentioned in "Common Practices" - If only one of the users has a set of dice, it is considered a 1 way. Each game explanation will have the practices of 2 way and 1 way explained in them, please continue reading.
    • Betting 2 way - 2 ways are common everywhere. A bet is considered a 2 way when both users have their own sets of dice to roll with. It is arguably the more common out of the two types.
    • Holding - When users don't have a mutual trust, or are just being cautious - they might ask the other user to allow themselves, or another user to hold. When you are asked to allow someone else to hold, you can say no (Just don't be surprised if the other user refuses to bet you) If you do not want the other user to hold the bet, but are open to the idea of holding, you can suggest yourself. If both users cannot come to a mutual agreement you can always find a member of the "Habboon's Trusted Dealers" Group or a member of the Habboon Staff team to hold your bet. Note: If someone asks you to allow a hold during a bet there is no need to get upset - the other user just doesn't want to risk the possibility of a scam, and if they are asking for a third party user to hold, there's a very strong chance that they themselves are not a scammer. Holding can be brought up in any situation and should not be considered an insult, if you are new to the casino community it will be more common.
    • Payments: To start - IT IS NEVER OKAY TO BET WHAT YOU DO NOT HAVE. You must have the items you are betting in your possession during the time of the bet. (It is a scam to bet what you do not have, even with the intentions of paying the user at a later date). If you lose a bet that had no hold, you pay what you waged on the bet. If you lose a bet that you are holding - you must pay what you waged, as well as whatever the other user waged and traded to you before the bet. FAILURE TO MAKE A PAYMENT AFTER LOSING A BET IS CONSIDERED A SCAM.
    • Showing furniture: If you are uncertain if the user you are about to bet actually has the furniture that you are betting, you may ask them to show it before the bet (or hold, described directly above). The user may refuse to show, possibly out of pride, but more than likely because they do not have the furni. Please note: Asking the user to show after the bet does nothing. If the user refuses to show the original bet after the bet has taken place, you still have to pay them if you lost.
    • Risk Winnings: The concept of "Risk Win" is extremely common in the Habboon casino community. No hold: When there is no hold taking place and a user decides to risk their win (mutual agreement) both users do another bet (typically the same game as the original) If the original winner wins again, they double what they won the first time, if they lose both dealers are "Even" meaning there is no payment to be made. The risk win system can continue to stack up if both users agree to the risk win. For example: if the original bet between User1 and User2 is 5 thrones v 5 thrones and User2 wins, the first risk win would be 10t (doubling the 5 thrones they originally won) If User2 wins another hand the 10 thrones are theirs to keep, or they can risk win again, this time for 20 thrones. Say User2 wins another hand, and again chooses to risk their win, the payment would be up to 20t, so the risk win would be 40t. At this point, say User1 wins a hand, the bet then moves to Even and User1 and User2 are both "Safe" meaning nobody owes anything to anybody. If you are risking winning on a hold it can get a little tricky. Be sure to specify whether or not you are risking the items you have just won WITH the items you are letting them hold, or WITHOUT - if you do not specify, it might be assumed that you are risking what you are letting them hold as well, so if you lose the risk win, they get what they are holding of yours. (Some people choose not to risk win while a hold is taking place to avoid confusion) Note: You can risk win as many hands as you'd like, or you can keep right away, or after your last won risk win. RISK WINNING IS A MUTUAL AGREEMENT; IF ONE USER WANTS TO RISK WIN AND THE OTHER DOESN'T, JUST PAY/ACCEPT THE PAYMENT.
    • Scams (How to handle): Lets admit it, being scammed sucks. Notice back in the "Common Practices" portion we recommended that you get some sort of screen recording mechanism, this is where it comes in handy. At the end of this paragraph we will list a couple of good screen recording mechanisms popular with the Habboon community, but for now it is recommended to pay attention. It is crucial that you RECORD EVERY BET - THE WHOLE BET. If a user scams you and you recorded it, follow these steps:
          1. Upload the video to youtube
          2. Come to boonforums
          3. Click on "Courthouse"
          4. Click on "Scam Reports"
          5. Click on the post made by Tyler "Scam Report Format"
          6. Copy the format
          7. Go back to the "Scam Report" page
          8. Click on "Post a thread" (Top right)
          9. Paste the scam report format and fill it in
          10. On the top toolbar of your box you will notice a lens clip button, click on it to open a URL menu, copy and paste your videos URL into it
          11. Click on "Post Thread"
        • Note: If the user that scammed you is HOLDING your bet, be sure to include that in the recording - Staff will give you back your furniture. THIS ONLY APPLIES TO USERS THAT ALLOWED THE SCAMMER TO HOLD THE BET, IF YOU GOT SCAMMED AND THERE WAS NO HOLD, OR YOU HAVE NO PROOF OF THE HOLD YOU WILL NOT BE GIVEN YOUR WINNINGS.
Common Casino Games and how they're played:
    • Poker (pker) - Dealers use the five dice to roll five numbers. These five numbers are the player's hand. The person with the best hand wins the bet. The hands are listed below from worst to best:
            1. No pair (No matching dice)
            2. One pair (1 set of matching dice)
            3. Two pair (2 sets of separate matching dice) ex: pair of 2's and 4's
            4. Three of a kind (Trips - having 3 matching numbers)
            5. Low Straight (1,2,3,4,5)
            6. High Straight (2,3,4,5,6)
            7. Full House (Having three of a kind, and a pair) ex: Trip 6's, pair 1's
            8. Four of a kind (Having 4 matching dice)
            9. Yahtzee (All 5 dice match)
Note: If both users roll the same hand, they re-roll. During a 2way bet - both users have dice and roll their own. During a 1way bet - only one user has dice, and he rolls the dice for the other player as well - Remember; the person without the dice is always rolled first.
Note: If both users roll a full house - the user with the higher number trips wins.
    • 13 (g13) - The object of the game is to get as close to, or at 13 without going over. The person with the closest number to 13 wins. You start by rolling 2 dice - the person with the lower combined numbers rolls again, until they have a higher combined number than the other user, this pattern continues until they either reach the same number, bust, or land on 13. If they end on the same number (above 7) then there is a re-roll. (Yes, even 13) This game is extremely popular with the people who are just starting out with betting, as it's fairly easy to learn. These rules apply to a 2way game of 13. The rules for a 1way game of 13 are slightly different. So as you know by now in a 1way only one person has dice, so the dealer rolls for the person without the dice first. The dealer rolls 2 dice, typically not stopping until the numbers add to a number higher than 7. (Because you can't bust on 1 roll if you are at 7) Once the dice add up to a number higher than 7 the user without the dice tells the dealer: "Hit" or "Stay" - It is entirely up to the user not in the dice to decide how close they want to get to 13 without going over. Once the user says stay it is the dealers turn to roll his hand. If the dealers hand is closer to 13, or on 13, while the other player wasn't at 13, the dealer wins.
    • 21 - The object of this game is extremely similar to the game 13 mentioned directly above this. The object of the game is virtually the same, you your dice and try to get as close to, or on 21 without going over. The user who is the closest to, or on 21 wins - as long as the other user doesn't land on 21 as well. The same 1way rules apply: where the dealer rolls for the player not in dice first and they player not in dice uses "Hit" or "Stay".
    • 6 - This game is fairly common, and extremely fast. In a 2way, each user rolls one dice, the person with the lower number roll again - the object of the game is to reach the number 6 without going over. If you roll again and go over, the user you are betting wins - if you both land on 6, it's a re-roll. The rules are the same in a 1way as in 13 and 21 where the person not in the dice uses "Hit" or "Stay" to try and win, and is always rolled first by the dealer. If the dealer reaches a number closer to 21 without going over, he wins, as long as they are both not on 21.
    • Tri-High/Low - Tri-High seems to have picked up in popularity recently, and is a fairly quick game. It is played by rolling 3 dice, the user with the highest combined hand wins. The game Tri-Low is the exact opposite. It is played by each user rolling 3 dice, the lowest combined hand wins.
    • All-High - All high is getting more popular around the hotel and the concept is simple. Each user rolls all 5 of their dice and they add them all up; the user with the highest combination wins. If the hands end up the same number, you redo the hand.
    • All-Low - All Low is literally the same game as All-High, just flipped. Each user rolls all 5 of their dice and they add them up; the user with the lowest combination wins. If the hands end up the same number, you redo the hand.
Note: During a bet if a user is to reroll a dice that has already been rolled and it effects the outcome of the bet, the user that rerolled loses.
Thank you for reading our unofficial betting rules - if you have any questions be sure to contact Stang or Recluse in game!

Here are 2 good recorders to use. Bandicam doesn't work for Mac computers so I added the second option which is Mac friendly.

This is a good guideline for betting, definitely. Things have changed since previous betting rules were posted and it never hurts to update them. I'm sure the staff and those who are in the Trusted Dealers will appreciate this if it ends up being used :)

  58. I don't know about BTD, but in any 1 way bet you need to STATE 'tie = dealer'.
