I find these REALLY annoying because most of the time you're not even spamming and you get a 1 minute mute in PMs.

Why even have a flood in PM? If someone is "spamming" you, just remove them...

  6. PM Advertisers can't spam in PM because they get muted.
Along with a number of other reasons that also match the reasons for flooding in a room.

Why do you need to spam in PM anyway, just talk casually, like you would in a room?
Plus, 30-60 seconds is hardly a lifetime.

That's the thing. You can't talk casually without getting flooded. Once you received your first flood you get them way more often the next time until you reload your client.

At the moment I'm receiving floods because I try to correct myself from my very 1st sentence after flood.
They are always 60 seconds, which does feel long since it happens so often.

So, I was able to send this many messages with a space of milliseconds to seconds
between them and didn't flood after so many messages sent.

And then I sent these messages straight after one another, as soon as my 60-second
flood time had finished, and didn't actually get muted for that.

It appears differently depending on how many times you've received it.

If someone is advertising you could just use the report button in the PM? Unless that's broken...

Oh, might I add that, that is not how much I spammed first time I received it... Lol.

  18. Yes, but you shouldn't flood so many times if you're only sending 2 messages in a row.

No, it's not broken, but that's like saying there's no point in having the flood protection in an actual room because there's a call-for-help system?

And, are you saying you spammed less or more or what :/
