Whether it is called animal testing, animal experimentation or animal research, it refers to the experimentation carried out on animals. It is used to assess the safety and effectiveness of everything from medication to cosmetics, as well as understanding how the human body works. (Ironically).

What are your opinions on this?

  4. I think after all of the animal testing done so far, we should already know which ingredients aren't good for humans.
I don't know too much about it, but using animals to test every kind of lipstick, or every vitamin, or toxin isn't very humane.

Animal testing for medical science however.. I'm not too sure. It has to be done somewhere. Honestly I don't know enough to even have an opinion. I would like to say it doesn't have to be on animals, but I don't know :( It just may.

  10. I'd say test on specific animals. Such as rats or something that if it goes extinct wouldn't cause a really big problem. As people above me have said, we can't test on plants, and if we also can't test on animals then the products are gonna be sold without proper testing

They were on here before us and we're just using them!?! It's honestly wrong, shouldn't it be counted as animal abuse too?

why the fuck would you test things on living creatures?
if you're going to try and create something, don't test it out on something weaker and smaller than you.
try it out on yourself no one will care if you die :///

  36. Humans still have rights to their body even when being sentenced to death.
In that logic of thinking, why don't they experiment on the elderly? I'm sure your grandmothers would like that

  40. The rights of an average rat are much less important than the rights of a human and his body

There are alternatives to animal testing such as: in vitro testing, computer modelling, human volunteers & human-patient simulators.

Animal testing, in my opinion, counts as animal cruelty?
    In a lot of cases, animals die or suffer diseases because they've had products tested on them;
They do actually have feelings and will be affected by pain.

So no, it shouldn't be allowed.
    It's sick.

  54. Animal testing isn't the only option though, as I quoted @cuties, there are a ton of alternatives.
Like you said, you'd rather watch an animal suffer than a human, where else are you going to get fur materials? Human skin?
Plus, It's not like I go around campaigning "Kill the sheep, we want wool."
Don't argue with me if you don't have a reliable debate.

"Maybe on rare fucking animals yeah but on useless shits no"
No animal is useless - they're all as important as each other.
Hundreds of animals are becoming endangered because they're being killed, whether it's unintentional or not, I don't care.
I'm not saying they should be tested on humans, but they shouldn't be used on animals either.
